Platform

Predictors: Users of the Predictor platform who express their views on future events by placing trades on available prediction markets. Predictors participate as individual market participants and make independent decisions based on their own judgment.

Introducing Broker (IB): A regulated intermediary that introduces customers to an FCM. Predictor acts as the IB.
Futures Commission Merchant (FCM): A regulated firm that carries customer accounts and handles customer funds. For Predictor, this is Plus500US Financial Services LLC.
Designated Contract Market (DCM): A CFTC-regulated exchange where eligible derivatives contracts may be listed for trading.
Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO): A regulated clearinghouse that clears certain derivatives contracts.

Event Contract: A financial contract tied to the outcome of a future event.
Yes / No Contract: A contract where the outcome depends on whether a stated event happens or does not happen.
Peer-to-Peer Market: A market where participants trade with each other, rather than against the platform.
Settlement: The process of determining the final outcome of a contract based on the market rules.
Liquidity: The ability to enter or exit a position. Liquidity may vary and is not guaranteed.

KYC / AML: Know Your Customer and Anti-Money Laundering checks used to verify identity and help prevent financial crime.
Material Non-Public Information: Important information that is not publicly available and could affect the price or outcome of a market.
Restricted Person: A person who may be prohibited from trading certain markets because of their role, access, employment, relationship, or legal obligations.
